Hematite

Hematite is a stone that is most commonly - and most strongly - used to ground or stabilize and for protection. In spiritual work, hematite is an excellent stone to help keep yourself connected to the Earth plane, as some would say via the silver cord, so that your spiritual learnings and travels can be done safely and things learned can be brought back to daily life more easily. 

Hematite is used to bring mental organization   and is very grounding and calming. It can help with original thinking, logical thinking, and mathematics, any type of thinking which requires significant mental organization.

Emotionally, hematite decreases negativity. This  lowering of negativity can benifit by helping balance the body/mind/spirit connection.  It also is said to balance the meridiians, boost self-esteem, and self-confidence.

Carnelian

Carnelian encourages acceptance of the cycle of life and helps remove the fear of death. As an ancient stone, it was used to protect the dead on their journey to the afterlife. It gives courage and promotes positive life choices.[Hall, 94]

Carnelian is a crystal of action, overcoming procrastination or indecision. It encourages one to stop waiting for dreams to appear, and stimulates the courage to embrace change and Divine Will to begin to make one's highest goals happen. [Ahsian, 93]

Carnelian encourages an awareness of the connection between the emotional state and the inner condition of the self. It promotes a spiritual energy conducive to awakening one's talents and perceptions of surroundings, and for offering love in return for love. Carnelian in shades of pink-orange, especially encourage love between parents and children, and between parents and parents. [Melody, 183]

Goldstone

Goldstoneis said to help attain one's goals. Goldstone is also said to help one stay calm and stabilize the emotions. It can be used as an energy generator and can deflect unwanted energies, making it used as a protection stone. It is also used for long distance healing and revitalizing one's energy field. Goldstone also has many of the metaphysical properties of copper, including in crystal healing lore the strengthening the circulatory system, strengthening bones, and easing arthritis pain. Goldstone is actually a man-made glass with flecks of copper suspended in it, which give it the sparkles. Goldstone was said to be originally created by French monks, and in time the secret was lost. It's been rediscovered or recreated in modern times, though, and goldstone is a popular material because of its beauty as well as its metaphysical properties lore. Goldstone comes in the original "brown", a blue-purple, and a green. Each color brings its energies to the goldstone as well.

Lava

Properties: The elemental powers of fire and earth, lava rocks are rich in minerals from deep in the earth's core. Born of fire, these molten creations raise to the surface and become porous creations of earth. Fire is one of the four classical elements in ancient Greek philosophy and science. It was commonly associated with the qualities of energy, assertiveness, and passion, while earth was commonly associated with qualities of practicality, restraint and materialism.

Lava rocks embrace both elements. These red and black lava rocks are a wonderful tool for the root chakra. The can be used for grounding, protection and making a connection to the earth. They allow us to "root" scattered energy, find focus and bring balance to our center by embracing practicality. This stone is beneficial when your 1st and/or 2nd chakras are energetically weak.
